Hot Summer Days

Wow we can not complain about our summer, well it is a little hotter than we are use too. It sure has been a nice couple of weeks, can't believe that our baby turned 20! Milestone for Henry and I we made it through raising teenagers! Seriously I really enjoyed and shhh miss the teenagers hanging around the house. Next generation will be easier on Grumpa and Grandma. I just hope that they do enjoy those years before hitting the years of responsibilities. Feeling a little old tonight remembering how it was to be a teenager, carefree, not having to worry about not being safe. Watching Megan and Darci going through the teenage years a little more scarey than for Henry and I, more peer pressure not sure if it is because the girls grew up more in the city and Henry and I had the small town atmosphere. Worry that with every new generation teenagers have more to deal with. Assuring to me is that this generation will have not only their parents but also their grandparents to help them out.

My Friend Nichole

Nichole a spirit that really makes me feel good about life. She reminds me a lot of myself at her age, a hard working Mom, a mom that truly loves her family and is thankful for her blessings. She is spunky but I have seen with age a calmness with her. A Momma bear if someone messes with her family, a person who does look for the good. Thankyou for your friendship.

New Pictures

It has been a while since I have posted new pictures of my family! I can not believe that today McKenzie is 7 months old and on the 17th Kaiden aka Lil Man turned 3 months! The milestones that they have reached, McKenzie eatting solids and loving it, playing on the floor rolling to her toys. Kaiden keeping up with her, rolling and boy does he like to talk baby talk to us. The both really are developing their own little personalities and it is so much fun to watch.

A loss for Words

Today in the world I have heard more about people passing away. Farah Fawcett with cancer, Michael Jackson from a heart attack and a little girl Sadie from a rare form of a brain tumor. While it is sad to think that they are not here on earth with us, it is also a calm to me to think that they are out of their pain. Examples they are to us and their families inspirations. I didn't know Sadie but the story and insight that her webpage gave me it will always warm my heart. To read her testimony I feel it, to read her parents words I can feel the Holy Ghost. Like my title to this blog reads I am at a loss for words, I just needed to write and try to get the words, but the feelings I have are so at peace and thankfulness to Heavenly Father for the blessing he has given me, I don't take them for granted, just thank him for all that I have and pray that these families will heal from their losses and somehow know that their love ones that are now gone will be our Angels.

Family

Okay I just can resist! The pictures with Kaiden and McKenzie with their hats on! They are definetley their Grandpa's Grandkids, if you know Henry he always seems to have a hat on!

Then there is the pictures of Aunt Darci with McKenzie you had to of been there to see the humor in these pictures. You see McKenzie was giving Aunt Darci a warm loving hug, arms wrapped around her neck then look closely the look on McKenzie's face tells you she is up to something (yes our cute lil girl is getting an attitude of course one that we love) and then all of the sudden Aunt Darci's face will show you that McKenzie was pinching her aunt in the back of the neck!

For Mother's day I finally was able to get the picture I have been waiting for! Yes both of my girls and their babies and we were lucky they all looked toward the camera!

I can not believe that in these pictures Kaiden is 2 months old and McKenzie is almost 6 months old. Okay Megan and Darci I can't believe shhh I won't tell your ages. Love my family so much.

Cousins!

Growing up the miles kept me from being close to my cousins, living on the Oregon coast and my cousins living in Montana or even farther away Minnesota it was hard to have a close relationship. Also I was the oldest and that even made it harder, felt like the babysitter!

Kaiden and McKenzie being so close in age, it will be so much fun to watch these two grow up together! We just realized they will start kindergarten the same year and graduate from highschool the same year!

McKenzie being the older by 4 months is so much fun to see her when she realized Kaiden is in the room she will wave her hands and smile so big and just watch Kaiden. Today they were both here, Kaiden was fighting sleep and I would whisper to McKenzie shhh baby Kaiden is trying to sleep she would quiet right down and just look at Kaiden.

Kaiden might be 4 months younger but watch out McKenzie he already has bigger feet and hands, I foresee the future Kaiden will be the protecter of his cousin Kenzie, watch out boys better treat her good our cousin Kaiden will have too hurt ya.

Grandpa loves his Kids

They say that a Dad misses out on a lot of things when their own children are growing because they are so busy providing, working and taking care of all the other things in life to raise their children. Henry worked so hard providing for us when the girls were growing, working so many hours. Watching him with his grandchildren warms my heart so much. He now has the time to relax with his grandchildren and not have the pressure to provide but the enjoyment of seeing every small achievement that these grandchildren are already making. Tonight he rocked his grandson Kaiden to sleep, yesterday evening he was the only one that could calm McKenzie! We may tease him and call him Grumpa but he is an amazing Grandfather, not too mention Dad and husband and my bestest buddy. Here is too many more years together! I love you Henry, my bestest Buddy!

Kaiden's 2 weeks old!

Being a Grandma! What does this do to a Mom? Well I love it, yes it is an amazing new chapter in my life. Just seems like yesterday that I became a Mom and now watching my babies become Moms is such a rewarding feeling. Yes I do feel a little blue where do the years go? It is such a different and warm feeling and what a flash back looking into my grandchildren's eye, remembering the days that we brought out babies home, makes you relive the early days. I wish so much for my daughters and so much for my grandkids.

Wow what a busy 24 hours! Phone call early Thursday monring from Darci, going to the hospital! Like usual the unexpected, rushing around trying to get everything ready that I should of had done before! Just like motherhoold Grandma hood is the same, just a little older and harder to get it all done! But sure worth the hurry! So proud and happy for Darci and what an amazing addition to our family. Now even more Darci and Megan, the Johnson sisters are even closer, both Moms now! Anyone that knows Henry would be amazed how much he truly loves not only his daughters, but wait till you see him with the GrandKids!

She is 3 Months Old! What a joy!

Where does time Go?

To be honest I really don't know where time goes. I do know that with time life is getting better and better. I enjoy to sit back and remember all the wonderful times I have had in life. I have been married to Henry for over half of my life, been a mother for almost 25 years (sorry Megan now they know how old you are) and a Grandmother for 3 months and expecting a grandson at the end of March.

So many special people in my life. The strength and support I have from family and friends is my most cherished gift. Thankyou.
